Happy beginning of October everyone!
October has brought a few small changes, such as identity verification, aka KYC. This means that all new services will require identity verification, but older services will continue to work normally without it.
Why are we requiring such verification nowadays?
Unfortunately, many have used our services for illegal activities, and since these purchases are often made with stolen credit cards, we always have to refund the money to the rightful cardholder. In addition to having to freeze such products, we often have to do a lot of extra reporting to authorities, which leaves us at a major loss financially and in terms of work hours. So we had two options: either raise prices or raise the bar for granting services to customers. We chose the latter.
Over the past two months, we've had several hundred euros worth of these types of abuses per month, so this situation needed to be brought under control somehow.
