This guide will walk you through how to add an email inbox to your phone using the Mail app.

  1. Start by opening "Settings" and scroll down until you see "Mail" on your phone and press it.

  2. Next, click the button "Email Accounts."

  3. Then, click the button "Add Account."
  4. After that, press "Other."

  5. Finally, press the button "Add Mail Account" once more.

  6. Next, after selecting the appropriate account type, enter your email password.

    IMAP (RECOMMENDED)

IMAP allows you to access your email from anywhere and on any device. When you read an email using IMAP, it is not downloaded or stored on your computer but is accessed directly from the email service. This allows you to check your email on multiple devices, anywhere in the world: on your phone, computer, or a friend’s computer.

IMAP only downloads the message when you click on it, and attachments are not downloaded automatically. This means you can check your emails much faster than with POP.

If your email asks for IMAP servers, enter mail.yourdomain.fi.

    POP3

POP connects to your email service and downloads all new messages. Once they are downloaded to your PC or Mac, they are removed from the email service. After an email is downloaded, it can only be accessed on the same computer. If you log into your email on another device, messages previously downloaded to another device will not be available.

Sent messages are saved locally on your PC or Mac, not on the email server.

Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) offer POP email accounts.

  7.

You can now press Next and start using your email.
